It's a...

BOY!!!
We could not be more thrilled to find out our sweet baby is a boy. Of course we would've been thankful for a girl, but we have both always wanted a boy to start our family. We're halfway there and getting more excited every day. :)
Gosh I just love this guy. I can't wait to see him shine as a Daddy. He will be amazing. I just know it.
Plus I'm really missing him these days. He's in Miami for the NBA finals.
We're almost done-3.5 more days!
...

And because I can't get enough of the random people that Dylan keeps meeting, I shall leave you with FABIO. Could this picture be any better? Ha! Dylan looks so thrilled and Fabio looks creepier than creepy. Ha!
Happy Monday!

Lamp Love...

Several weeks ago, when I could barely keep my eyes open due to 1st trimester exhaustion, my sweet mom came over to help me clean my house. And by help me clean, I mean she cleaned my house. She is a wonderful mom anyway, but I can't tell you how much that meant to me. This is back when I would go to sleep at 7pm and once I got home from work I wanted to take a nap. Cleaning was not on my radar  and my poor husband was living in filth. So my mom came to the rescue. She is kind of a super woman like that. Anyway, while she was vacuuming, one of my tables tipped and off knocked one of my lamps and shattered into pieces. I've been meaning to replace it for weeks and weeks but haven't quite found one I just loved.
Until this week. Oh my- love doesn't even begin to describe.
I went to target for three straight days just to visit it. I went through the store contemplating whether or not I should purchase it or not.
On my way to the lamp aisle, I passed the mirror aisle and of course, took a look at myself to make sure my hair looked great. Duh. ;) But what I saw... was a sight! "Whoa, baby!" Is all I could say. "When did that happen??"... and bam. There it was, my baby bump. In full effect. SO naturally, I took out my phone to take a picture of myself. Ha!

Once I brought myself back to reality I went on to visit and eventually purchase my fabulous lamp. I am in serious lamp love. Mustard and burlap- sold!
And I'm also obsessing over my new shoes. Seriously how could I not?
Moral of the story is Dylan needs to stop traveling so I can stop spending money. :)

Playoffs, Schlayoffs...

Let's go back to last week, shall we?
The OKC Thunder are doing really well in the playoffs. (Incase you've been living under a rock.) We are two wins away from being the western conference champions and going to the NBA finals.
Dylan, being the fab sports caster he is, is in fact traveling to every away game. Which is normally fine, I'm pretty independent. But either the playoffs or cursed or me being pregnant has me cursed. Because here are the facts:

Last week he was in San Antonio for a few days while the Spurs hosted the Thunder for the first two games of this series.
Dylan was off hanging out with Ryan Seacrest (see??)
While I was at home dealing with a torrential baseball sized hail storm crazy mess. Which left me to hang out with two hairy dogs, no electricity and work in the morning. Definitely winning. :)

Then there were two games at home, the power came back on and life was good. I finished my last few days of teaching and am now on summer break! (Hooray!!)

Now Dylan is back in San Antonio working hard I might add. (Hanging out with Jimmy Goldstein this time. See?)
While I was at home with a broken air conditioner sweating bullets and having the BIGGEST pregnant meltdown I've had to date. Oh my goodness. Just ask my parents. Thankfully (for him) Dylan was in a press conference so he couldn't answer, so my parents got to handle my crazy. (Sorry mom & dad!)
My dad ended up coming over to save the day and had one of his electrician friends come to rescue me in all of my hormonal glory. I don't know what I would've done if they didn't live 10 minutes away.

Now life is calming down and I'm back in my nicely air conditioned house and me and my bump are Thundering UP!
Oh yes, and how could I forget. Because of these lovely playoffs my gender ultrasound has to be pushed back so my husband can be there of course. It was scheduled for today, but as you already learned he is in San Antonio working hard. Pray the Thunder win it all so that all of my troubles will be worth it. Otherwise I will be one cranky lady. Happy Monday! :)
