So here is our home, for those of you that haven't seen it. :)
And here is the outcome of our blizzard snow fall. Not nearly as bad as we thought, but still more than I'm used to. It was fun to see snow flakes as big as a dollar coin! A whopping 14 inches!
And as much as I love having a beautiful blanket of snow right outside our window, it is causing me insane frustration! Our dog, bless her heart, absolutely refuses to do her business on the snow. It is like a confusing surface to her, and she just won't do it. Maybe it's because the snow is deeper than she is tall, which I can't hardly blame her, that would be a tricky situation, but either way. I'm going to go crazy. She's probably going to have a bladder infection, because she hasn't pooped in 2 days, and she has only peed once. Cool.

I'll be there for you...
Dylan and I have been making our way through all of the seasons of Friends over the past month, and I am not ready for it to come to an end. I still believe it is the best sitcom ever created. As many times as I've seen some of the episodes, they still never get old. We are supposed to get hit with 15 inches of snow tomorrow, so we will begin Season 9, cuddle and continually pray for power. Stay warm everyone!

What's for dinner tonight...
So in my free time these days, I have become an avid Food Network watcher. I saw yesterday this recipe for take out chinese, which is one of my favorite things, so I knew I had to try it. I went to the store, bought all of the ingredients, and today we are having General Tso's Chicken (made by yours truly) for dinner. This recipe was pretty easy, but the mess that it made to make it, automatically makes me never want to make it again. I'd rather just order it from a take out place. But, I did have a chance to snap a picture before it was put away into storage containers in the fridge, so heres a look. You can't see my rice and broccoli, but at least you can see the big winner. Enjoy! ;)

Lately...
Sorry I've been so MIA lately. Life is crazy busy, but overwhelmingly boring all at the same time. Confusing? Probably.
We are finally completely settled here in Texas. Although it's not my favorite place and I don't wish to live her for very long, Dylan and I are making due and have practically perfected having fun with not a lot of money. We officially have the "newly-wed" budget thing going, and I must say, we're pretty good at it!
Other updates:
- I'm still unemployed, and although I am bored to death and just itching to get back into the workforce, I am completely faithful that God's timing is much better than my own.
- During this time off I'm trying to stay busy, and keep myself entertained... which means I'm learning to cook all kinds of great things, and am really conquering that master grocery-list.
- I have learned so much during this month. I've learned to let go, and not sweat about the small stuff. I've learned the true value of a dollar, and am super excited to put my portion of a paycheck into a savings account. I guess I'm just constantly reminded that there are much more important things, I just am thankful for what we have. Even if it's only a little. We're so blessed.
- I start substituting in February, and am scared to death.
- I miss Recipe club, and our friends and family.
- I'm super thankful for Piper, because without her I'd be a crazy lady who talks to myself.
Is it sad that the highlight of my day is packing Dylan's lunch, and checking our mailbox? Geeze I need a job...
